Boat Insurance
Boat civil liability insurance is mandatory (due to law 2743/99) for all boats over 7 meters long or for any "speed boats" classification and should cover civil liability for injuries up to 300.000 €, property damages up to 150.000 € and marine pollution up to 90.000 €.
Optional coverage:
- Sinking
- Collision
- Capsize
- Fire
- Partial or whole theft
- Mechanical damages
- Engine drop at sea
- Damages on the rudder or the propeller of the boat.
Boat Insurance premiums depend on boat constructions materials, age, engine horsepower, usage, and fuel.
